DELVING DEEPER INTO WATERCOLOUR
JANUARY 2025
A workshop designed to take the novice or intermediate painter a step forward in their skill level.
This three (3) day workshop will kick start 2025.
Participants will complete a minimum of three paintings -a misty landscape, street scene and a country scene.
Students will learn about washes, wet on wet techniques, wiping out, detail work, placing people in your paintings and more.
Booking is essential as places have already begun to fill.

In this workshop you will learn how a breaking wave is constructed using tone and temperature of colour.
I will be using acrylics, however, oil paints would also be acceptable in this class.

KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL PAINTING
MARCH 2025
This workshop is designed for ALL MEDIUMS. No matter if you are a watercolourist, oil painter, acrylic painter, pastellist or other this workshop is for you.
In this full day workshop you will learn about the many aspects that are required to produce good art. I will take you from the initial concept of planning to Fibonacci's golden mean, from texture and brushstrokes to value and tone. We will cover topics such as the importance of lost and found edges and the transition of colour, the colour of light and shadows, there will be perspective and horizon lines, placing people in your paintings, angles and working
plein air and much, much more.

PUTTING PEOPLE INTO PAINTINGS
APRIL 2025
All good art tells a story and some may tell more than one story. Storied engage the viewer, keep the viewer involved in your artwork and lead the viewers eye around the painting captivating their attention.
In this workshop we will explore how you can include simple people into your artwork. These figures can be either active or passive or may include both.
The figures we will be using will be simplified and abstractive. A very easy workshop for even the most novice painter.

IMPRESSIONISTIC LANDSCAPES

This workshop can be easily achieved by all levels of competency. Students can paint in either oil or acrylic. You will learn about tone, colour placement, composition, simplifying scenes and how to under paint ready for the final painting.

This is a really fun workshop. Learn how to use acrylics as translucent paint. Today we will be painting an underwater scene. Learn how to blend your paint, casting light and shadows and painting with a palette knife. Loads of fun.

This workshop is designed to take the artist thru the maze of perspective obstacles which can act as deterrents for the artist, simplifying what often are seem as insurmountable frustrations. and making perspective easily understood and your goals highly achievable.

This workshop is designed to let your inhibition's loose. This workshop will release your inner passion, creative expressions and just let you loose to create wonderfully exciting paintings. All techniques practiced can be used under Soft Pastels OR stand alone as abstract paintings. The choice is yours
You will take away a plethora of sample projects ready for your creative process to begin.
