My "Introduction To Soft Pastels" Workshop is designed for those who are a novice or never painting using soft pastels before. I will reveal to you all those tips and techniques that will help you in your soft pastel journey. I will be offering the loan of soft pastels to those who do not have their own. Topics include:
Types of Pastels and how they are made
Painting Surfaces (retail and home made)
Storage and Transporting
Techniques used for Painting
Colour Mixing
Mark Making

IMPRESSIONISTIC LANDSCAPES
JUNE 2025
This workshop can be easily achieved by all levels of competency. Students can paint in either oil or acrylic. You will learn about tone, colour placement, composition, simplifying scenes and how to under paint ready for the final painting.
Students will complete 2 painting in this session.

TRANSLUCENCY WITH ACRYLICS

This is a really fun workshop. Learn how to use acrylics as translucent paint. Today we will be painting an underwater scene. Learn how to blend your paint, casting light and shadows and painting with a palette knife. Loads of fun.

UNRAVELLING PERSPECTIVE
AUGUST 2025
This workshop is designed to take the artist thru the maze of perspective obstacles which can act as deterrents for the artist, simplifying what often are seem as insurmountable frustrations. and making perspective easily understood and your goals highly achievable.
We will cover, horizon lines, vanishing points, one paint perspective and multi point perspectives, aerial perspective and more

Discover your unique artistic voice. We will be experimenting with inks, oils, collage, mark making, charcoal, pencil, acrylic, watercolours....you name it we use it.
This workshop is designed to let your inhibition's loose. This workshop will release your inner passion, creative expressions and just let you loose to create wonderfully exciting paintings. All techniques practiced can be used under Soft Pastels OR stand alone as abstract paintings. The choice is yours
You will take away a plethora of sample projects ready for your creative process to begin.

DUTCH POUR
OCTOBER 2025
This one day workshop is so much fun. You will learn how to do a Dutch Pour which is very different from the standard pouring exercises. WE use acrylic paints on either a canvas of board.
